Information you add

Heriter stores the collection information you choose to add, including watches, ownership details, notes, costs, wear history, Moments, and photographs. This information is stored locally on your device.

No Heriter account or developer cloud

Heriter does not require an account. V1 does not send your archive to Heriter-operated servers and does not include advertising, analytics, or cross-app tracking. Heriter does not sell your data.

Photos and camera

When you choose a photograph, Apple’s system photo picker gives Heriter access only to the item you selected. Heriter may read that photograph’s date and embedded location to suggest archive details. Apple’s geocoding service may be used to turn embedded coordinates into a readable place name. Heriter requests camera access only when you choose to take a photograph.

Backups and transfers

You can export your archive as a Heriter backup file and save it in a location you choose, such as iCloud Drive. Heriter does not keep a copy. Exported files remain wherever you save or share them and are governed by the privacy practices of that storage provider.

Importing a backup replaces the library currently stored in the app. Heriter validates the selected file and creates a temporary on-device safety snapshot to support recovery if the import fails.

Deleting your information

You can delete watches, photographs, Moments, costs, and wear records within the app. Deleting Heriter from your iPhone removes its on-device archive. Backup files you previously exported are separate and must be deleted from the location where you saved them.

This policy may be updated when Heriter’s features or data practices change. The date above will reflect the latest revision.
